Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Cellar Engineering Department, based at Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful incumbent will report to the Engineering Specialist: Cellar.

 

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

The successful candidate must preferably have the following experience/skills:

  1. Minimum 3 years working experience as an artisan in a cellar and utilities environment.
  2. Reading and understanding of electrical drawings.
  3. Good knowledge of electrical reticulation in a plant environment.
  4. Good knowledge of equipment used in wine cellars and utilities is a distinct advantage (see examples above).
  5. Ability to do in-depth problem-solving and fault-finding (mechanical and electrical).
  6. Competent and argon and arc welding.
  7. Advantageous to be able to perform turning and milling activities.
  8. Must be self-motivated, innovative, and able to work without supervision.
  9. Able to work and make decisions under pressure.
  10. Good communication skills on all levels.
  11. Active involvement in mini-business activities.
    Able to work within a team.
  12. Willing and able to work overtime and flexible hours.
  13. Perform standby duties.
  14. Have your own reliable transport available.

The successful candidate must preferably have the following qualification/s:

Minimum Engineering N3
Trade tested Millwright.
